If the answer is YES to any of the above, then you are ready to take the more technically challenging Earned Value Professional (EVP) Exam as offered through the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE- www.aacei.org )
This certification requires the following MINIMUM qualifications:
1) 8 years of project related experience, OR
2) 4 year degree (technical or semi-technical) and 4 years of project related experience.
The certification exam consists of 4 test modules of 1.75 hours each, for a total of 7 hours testing conducted during a single day.
Module 1- 70 multiple choice questions on the fundamentals of Project Controls;
Module 2- 70 multiple choice questions on Activity Based Accounting, Analysis and Change Orders;
Module 3- 40 multiple choice questions solving case studies;
Module 4- Crafting a one page status report communicating issues and proposing solutions;
The exam consists primarily of problems frequently encountered in the execution of Project Management, with a focus on each participant’s demonstrated ability to identify and develop technical solutions to real problems.
The PTMC Training Program consists of both Face to Face and Distance Learning Mode Modules, and includes a minimum of three Benchmark Exams using Computer Based Testing.
The training consists of three modules-
1) 5 Day Face to Face Kick-Off Session to review the program, create a project team and develop a project plan to pass the exam;
2) 11 Week Long Distance Learning Mode doing problems in a team based environment;
3) 2 Day Face to Face Final Review session to review the Benchmark Exams.
Total elapsed time is 13 weeks, which includes not only preparing for the exam, but learning practical applications to be put to work immediately in the working environment, generating an immediate return on training investment.
Total expected individual investment is ~150 person/hours of which 60 will be face to face in a traditional classroom setting while the remaining 90 hours will be in doing the problems and writing the paper, while being mentored by our staff of experienced experts. |
